"A cemetery is a history of people - a perpetual record of yesterday and sanctuary of peace and quiet today.
A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - always."

McCreary Pioneer's Cemetery Preservation Society, Inc. was formed in
March of 2003 by a group of McCreary County citizens who were
concerned about the conditions of many of the early pioneer cemeteries.
For one reason or another, many of those cemeteries had fallen into
neglect or disuse and were in danger of becoming lost forever. The loss
of those burial grounds would have resulted in the destruction of a vital
part of our cultural heritage.

At this time MPCPS is undergoing an organizational change.
Hopefully, in the near future we will have the website back up.

We would like to thank everyone for their support.
